MEDITERRANEAN COUNTRIES GATHERED IN A MEC COP22 TO PREPARE COP22---------------------------------------The Regional Tangier-Tetouan, Al Hoceima Council will organize, on 11 and 12 July in Tangiers, the 2nd Conference of Parties of the countries bordering the Mediterranean on Climate Change, the Med Cop 22.------------------------------------------- The organization of this important Mediterranean meeting will bring together 2,000 experts, policy makers and economic actors and associations of the various Mediterranean countries, comes as part of the preparation for the next UN Climate Conference (COP22) scheduled 7 to 18 November in Marrakech, we learn from the organisers.------------------------------------- The objective of the second edition of the Med Cop 22 will be housed the city of Tangier is to "shed light on the roles to be played by local authorities, associations, businesses and civil networks as actors sustainable development, to contribute to the development of a positive environmental and Mediterranean agenda and engage each other to address climate change, "said the source.
